Description: WCC and B4H gear up for the Summer Solstice Ride on Saturday June 20
Whether preparing for a Granfondo or just training for life, join us in this year’s Summer Solstice Ride, a popular annual cycling event held in the Whistler area for road cyclists of all abilities. This year the Whistler Cycling Club (WCC) and the Whistler chapter of Bicycles for Humanity (B4H) have teamed to hold the ride, bringing together two local community non-profit groups to mutually benefit their respective missions.
The ride begins in Whistler and heads north to Pemberton. From there riders have the option of riding the full meadows (for a total distance of 110 km) or turning back to Whistler from Pemberton (total of 55 km). Vehicle support is provided for carrying extra snacks and excess clothing. There is also an option for participants who feel that the highway trip to and from Pemberton is more than they want to tackle.
All cyclists welcome! Note: limit of 100 riders.
